President Barack Obama made his first visit to Maine since becoming elected, appearing before a raucous crowd of 2,000 cheering supporters in Portland. The president spoke for about 30 minutes, and as expected, used the podium to tout the benefits of his controversial health care reform effort, and to take on its critics.
